Aww I said as I yawned in my bed.It's kapa haka  I got out of my bed and walked to the kitchen I made my lunch and brushed my teeth and got ready then I asked my mun to cross me across the highway  and she did  I biked to school and put my bike ast the bike rack and walked in to MLH 2 and got my moko on.Then I waited until Roy got to school and started play in soccer.After the second bell rang I ran to class and sat on the mat suddenly koka rosie and koka ngire came in and said go to the hall then we all lined up in our rows and got ready.When we were ready we started with Utaina and then Ka Waiata then Rona then Ka pana then the sevens haka  and last toia mai.At the end We pated aw selfs on the back and that was kapa haka.

This week at reading EL3 we have been doing high modality words.A high motility word and word that you would put in a speech because it tells people that you are befit with your answers.

There is hundreds of high modality words but  can't tell you them all but I'll tell you some of them ...Must,absolutely,always,certainly,obviously,surly,definitely and will.That's a normal list but this is a word cloud.

Word clouds are way cooler and that's why we bid it.

Yay I said as I woke up I ran into the kitchen made my lunch and got ready then my Mum crossed me over the road an I biked to school.When I got there and played with Roy Jago Kobi Louie and Moss after the second bell rang I ran to the class took of my gumboots and we bid the roll.After we lined up we crossed the road and walked to Scarlys way and the opened up a gate and walked down a small muddy hill.

 Then we had to cross a stream. I walked in it with my gumboots pretty much everyone made it across apart from Trey and Lola's bag because Rio chucked it and it did not make it across.After that we walked up the hill and on a kwad bike track for 1 hour and then we had brain food. 

Then we cared on for 2 hours more and we where at the end of the track .We talked about the stream for a little and then we cared on back lots of peoples shoes got stuck in the mud and rite before the stream my gumboots fall of and I had to hop and get it on the stream no one fell in after walked back to school.

It was so fun.

On Tuesday MLH Booked the hall for the hole day because it was our jean batten inquiry topike day!!!!!!

Awww I went as I woke up from my bed. Yuss it was our jean batten day I ran into the kitchen made my lunch got dressed and brushed my teeth .Them I said mum can you cross me across the road I went over the highway and bike to when I got to school and played bild up until the second bell rang.

 I ran in side and went to the hall we all sat on the floor and got into groups I was with prince ,millie and piper. The first activiti was code flags after we had done that we made paper airplanes and flew them then we cracked out some morse code and we got badges. Then we went home.

Cross country

Suddenly koka sue said on your marks go everyone started sprinting it was cross country.As soon as koka sue said go I was at the back I went around the corner and sprinted on the flat and I ended up passing out 10 people I was coming 6th.Ono the big sand lump was coming up I joged and then I saw  louie and I said hi and he said hi back. I was heading up to the hill by the car park but as soon as I got to the end of the dip I was stuck behind and everyone else I went all the way around them  and went in to the dip is suddenly tripped up  and got back up and Iwas ting with jago I sprinted and came 4th and I was exhausted.

7 times tables.

Over the last few weeks Iv'e been practicing my 7 times tables.

I'm not the best at my seven times tables but I'm quite good at all the other ones.Seven are the one that I've been working on for a while but I've found a solution because I'm really good at my two's and five's so I do them both and I add them together and I get seven's.That's the easy way to do them or you can do the hard way and just do your seven times table's.That's how I do it.Now you get it don't you?Now that I'm doing that strategy I'm getting better at them.

That's what I've got to say about seven times tables.

work shops.

 workshops

This year in mlh we've been doing workshops.

Workshops is when we go to ether classes and learn things.we all have groups of strand,writing,reading and math. I'm in level 3 strand and math and early level 3 reading and writing.I like having 2 workshops a day but not 4 or 3 or 1. workshops are 30 minutes long but murder mystery math is one hour long and that's on Wednesday.(murder mystery math is my favorite thing.)

There is koka Ngaire/koka Pips workshops and koka Rozies workshops.I like strand an math lots but I don't like reading and writing as much.We have workshops on Mondays,Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday.If your don't have a workshop you get to finish of your priorities.I like priorities but i also like workshops because you learn and you get to sine your goals of.

Learning Through Play.

LTP

Learning Through play is one hour long and its after lunch.

LTP is when there is 4 different class rooms you can go to.In room 1 you get to play with fabric and learn how to knit.In room 2 you get to play with flax and wood burn also you learn how to tie knots.In room 3 and four you go out and play with the lose parts and make up new games and play frisbee.On Monday and Tuesday I went to lose parts with Kobi and we made a tower it, was about 3.5 meters.

Next week I'm going to room 2 to to do wood burning and tie flax.My favourite one is is probably lose parts.It's fun because you can make up games that's why I like it but my second favorite is wood burning.I might do sewing in week 5 but in week four. I'm doing wood burning.LTP

week 7 smoothie week

wille the year sixes were on camp the year fives had a fun week this is what we did.

 On wednesday room 2 made smoothies in my team there was me olly and arthur.We choose to make fruit punch out of mango,peach,blueberry and orange juice then we videoed them here's the link.

We also had a tasting test our group came second but the sweet DNA came first.I liked our one because it was yum but the bad thing was it was thick.There was five groups and their names where berrey breeze,fruit punch,purple sunrise,sweet DNA and paradise island.when all the recipes are done we are going to make a recipe book for smoothies.  This is my resipy.

MATERIALS                                                                              INGREDIENTS

                                                                                                    250 g peach,100 g mango, half a cup of

                                                                                                    blueberries and 2 cups of orange juice

1 knife

1 cutting board

1 blender 

1 cup

METHOD

1 pour the orange juice into the blender.

2 Next pop the mango in the  blender.

3 Get some peach and cut it up or dice it up then put it all in the blender.

4 lastly put the blueberries in and then you have      Fruit Punch.

Back to school 2021

In moana learning hub we have been doing so much stuff!

 We have started surfing, swimming, writing, epic, khan academy, we have been up Maungaroa and to Hamanatua.  I'm in Moana two with Rozie as my teacher she is nice.  At Hamanatua we made our maunga and it was massive, we also had lunch there and walked back on the beach.  When we went to Maungaroa it was a massive walk and the lighthouse did not look like a lighthouse!  We had brain food and saw Tuahine Point and the shark pool.  I saw Sponge Bay also Tuamotu island, it was steep walking up Maungaroa.  We walked in our classes it was fun and we got a photo of Moana syndicate, it was fast on the way down.

I did swimming sports and I came 3rd in freestyle and backstroke and got in the backstroke finals.  I surprised myself, I was nervous at the start but after the first race I was all good. I liked riding on the bus and going in the water.  Swimming sports was fun.  We have started quick writes and blogs, like this one, also we have started epic online reading, I like it so much.  Another thing is khan academy it is a math site, it is good for me and it is fun and easy.  We've also done 2021 art.  

Over all It's been a good start to the year
